DILLON CHASE

Dillon Chase is an up in coming Christian hip-hop artist from Ada, Oklahoma. Being born in October of 1985, Dillon is young but on fire for God. Since he started rapping in 1999, Dillon has a distinct sound with his southern swagger yet theologically sound music. Originally a product of a home ridden with parents addicted to drug usage, Dillon was destined for a life of struggling. But in 2004, Dillon recognized the importance of the redeeming blood of Christ and became a believer in Jesus as His Lord and Savior.

In early 2007, Dillon’s life of servitude was seen and acknowledge through fellow Christians Lecrae and Sho Baraka, thus officially initiating him into the 116 Clique. Currently Dillon continues to produce holy lyrics with a style and flare all his own, emphasizing being a walking testimony off the stage as well as on the stage, of God’s glory and redemptive power.

DRE SR

Andre Roberson, also known as “Dre Sr.”, burst onto the Kansas City Christian Hip scene in 2005. Originally known for his hit song “I’m Justified”, Dre quickly grew into one of Kansas City’s premiere Christian artists. Having grown up in the church, Dre Sr. was well versed in religion but void of any spiritual relationship with the God that he claimed. Being diluted by a false definition of repentance, Dre Sr. lived a lifestyle that was bound in sin with the belief that forgiveness merely required an “I’m sorry Father”.

In the spring of 2005 Dre Sr. received God’s call to become a slave to the righteousness of Christ. Having suffered the loss of his first son that was born prematurely, Dre Jr., Andre adopted the name Dre Sr. in remembrance of him. Through his son’s death, Dre Sr. grew closer to Christ by recognizing God’s providence and his need of an intimacy with him. Now, more than ever before, Dre Sr. diligently disciples and evangelizes to people the importance of the Gospel of Jesus in hope that strongholds of sin might be broken, relationships might be gained, and lives would be reconciled to the Father.

azriELicia

Coupled with a common desire for the music of the late ‘80s and mid ‘90s, God, and each other, Damon “Azriel” Horton and Elicia Horton formed the group AzriELicia. Damon, formally of a group name Awe-StruKC and Elicia formally of a group called Daughters of Jerusalem, felt that Christ was pulling together in their marriage to perform ministry together through Hip-Hop. Combining their names together, mathematically “El” the Hebrew term for God forms the center, thus God is the center of them both.

Their ministry started publicly in December of 2001 at a stage play called “Worth Waiting For” with a piece titled “I Shall”. In November of 2005 they officially adopted the name AzriELicia and proceeded to minister through preaching, teaching, rap, and spoken word poetry. Seeking to hold each other accountability both in their doctrine and their lifestyles, AzriELicia continues today to pursue wholeness in Christ Jesus while preaching salvation by grace through faith alone.

Micah Smith

Born and raised in a Christian home, with two older brothers (at the time), a Pastor for a father and a Praise leader for a mother. Yet despite the influence of a godly upbringing Micah still warred against his flesh and uniting knowledge with lifestyle. At the age 13, Micah started attending a Wednesday night youth group and started talking to young men and women with a real heart for God, people who were on fire like he should have been on fire. Suddenly his fury and anger toward his mother and father for taking what he thought was a life from him turned into a compassionate love toward them as his eyes were opened to see the beauty of Jesus Christ.

Through all of this he had written music. Growing up in a musically talented family, music came with almost everything. One day going through a bunch of junk in one of the closets in his mother’s house he stumbled across an old acoustic guitar. He began to experiment over the next few years with everything from punk rock to hip hop. However the goal of his life, whether in speaking, playing guitar, or by singing is to turn the lost and wavering in faith to Jesus Christ as he continually points them back to His incredible sacrifice at the cross. Micah stands as living proof that Jesus Christ is God and that God is real
